If you would like your baby to learn some baby sign language, you may well be interested in Tiny Talk classes on Thursday afternoons in Bishopston.
Tiny Talk classes include baby sign language, singing and sensory activities using props such as mirrors, bubbles, sensory toys, books, music and instruments – all of which aid babies communication skills and bonding with their parent/carer.
Tiny Talk classes are run by Michelle Hill, a mum to two young children: Joshua who is 3 and Posey who is 1 (and who often joins her in class).
Michelle first started baby signing with Joshua when he was four months old and by the time he was 8 months old he was recognising signs such as bed, milk and bunny.
Joshua’s progress with baby signing, plus the added benefits to communication which baby signing gave to them both, prompted Michelle to set up Tiny Talk classes in several different locations in North Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Michelle’s Bishopston classes are held on Thursday afternoons in term-time at KudaCan at 1.15pm.
Classes are an hour-long and are split into two halves: the first 30 minutes is structured activity and the latter 30 minutes is a chance for parents/carers to get to know each other and to build social networks; mums who go to Tiny Talk classes find that this half-hour has been a great way to meet new mummies and great friendships have been formed in the process.
If you are interested in booking a place for yourself and your little one, please email Michelle on firstname.lastname@example.org.
