It’s only a month until Father’s Day!
If you are wondering what Father’s Day gifts to buy, why not get a special daddy or granddad some beautiful silver cufflinks or a key ring for him to treasure forever?
Local mum, Lucy Willson from Little Tinkers Silver Co uses your child’s handprints, footprints, fingerprints or artwork by capturing them forever in fine silver cuff links, key rings, pendants and more.
Lucy creates the fingerprint keepsakes by pressing the child’s fingerprints directly into the silver clay. This can be done either at her workshop at home or she can send out moulding kits so the impressions can be taken in the comfort of your own home.
Lucy takes handprints, footprints and paw prints on special paper using inkless wipes and then miniaturised onto the computer before being made into a mould. Drawings can be sent via e-mail which are then again miniaturised before being turned into a mould.
Little Tinkers is owned by Lucy Willson, who is a mum of two little boys and lives in Horfield. She was inspired to start the business following the birth of her children, Zach (4) and Ollie (2), whom she named Little Tinkers after.
“My boys are my LITTLE TINKERS! My inspiration for Little Tinkers came from a combination of a love of jewellery, a love of my children and the enjoyment of making something really special for someone.
“I have loved making jewellery for around 10 years and then when Zach came along I discovered Fingerprint Jewellery. It’s such a personal and sentimental gift to make someone and lovely meeting other parents.”
Lucy creates all her personal gifts by hand which takes time so please order your Father’s Day gifts before 6th June to avoid disappointment.
