Hello! I’m Harriet and I am an experienced primary school teacher. This year, I am studying a Masters in Education Psychology at Bristol University and am offering tutoring to children of any ability in Key Stage 1,2 or 3.
I strive to help each individual child achieve their potential by using a variety of different teaching methods and plan specifically for your child and their individual needs in order to ensure they make the best progress possible, whilst gaining confidence in their own abilities to achieve.
I particularly enjoy working with children who are anxious or need some extra help to fulfil their potential in the classroom.
I have an excellent understanding of the curriculum and throughout my six years of teaching, I have supported and challenged children with a variety of different needs, including a large number of EAL students. I have spent five years teaching Year 6 students and have thoroughly enjoyed preparing them for their SATs and secondary education.
Between 2014-2017 I worked as a primary school teacher in an Ofsted-rated Outstanding state school in London, working in Year 4 and then Year 6, where I had two years teaching and preparing children for their SATs examinations.
Between 2017-2020 I worked in the British International School in Hanoi as a Year 6 teacher.
I am happy to teach wherever your child is most comfortable, whether it be at home or online. I have a car so am able to drive to anywhere within 20 miles of Bristol.
