The talk will be presented by Dr. Susie Davies, an experienced GP, mother of three adolescents, and founder of the charity PAPAYA.
In the interactive talk she will unpack some of the complex issues around smartphone use and, in a non-judgmental way, help you find solutions that work for your family.
Topics discussed will include:
- The risks to mental health and well-being associated with spending too much time online.
- Strategies for families to achieve a healthy balance with technology.
- Ways in which parents and schools can work together to identify healthy boundaries and online habits.
- Question and discussion time” E.g., Everyone else in my class has a phone…? “
Refreshments will be available after the talk, cash/card payment accepted.
The event is open to parents from all the local schools, but numbers are limited so book now if you are interested!
