Fairfield High School is once again proud to have worked with Integrate UK, an organisation that “plays a leading role in shaping powerful, creative responses to complex issues such as gender-based violence, racism, hate, and inequality.”
As part of this partnership, Fairfield students collaborated with young people from other Bristol secondary Integrate schools to create an educational short film tackling xenophobia. The film, titled ‘Flagged’, aims to raise awareness, spark discussion and challenge prejudice among young people and wider communities.

‘Flagged’ follows three friends as they navigate the day after anti-immigrant riots. When they encounter someone unexpected, tensions rise and difficult questions emerge around trust, identity and community. The film powerfully explores how fear and division impact relationships, while highlighting the importance of empathy and understanding.
Edel Cronin, Principal of Fairfield High School, comments: “The power of video has once again communicated a powerful message, and we are incredibly proud of the creativity, courage and commitment to social justice our students have shown as part of this journey.”

Integrate UK, through film, education, mentoring and national outreach, continues to build confidence, challenge injustice, and create meaningful, lasting change in schools, communities, and beyond.
Previous films created by Fairfield students in collaboration with Integrate UK, demonstrating the power of youth led storytelling, include knife crime, racism, coercive control, and toxic relationships.
