There are many activities for babies and toddlers to enjoy in Bishopston and beyond, including baby and toddler swimming classes.
Today, a Bishopston Mum named Sharmila Cogger reviews Turtle Tots Bristol and West Wilts, which offers swimming classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, as well as aqua-natal yoga classes for mums-to-be, all over Bristol.
Sharmila has two young children: Leelah who is nearly three and Marlene who is 11 months.

I started going to Turtle Tots with my first daughter back in March 2012 and we’ve not looked back since, I’m now attending with my 11 month old and my eldest is back in the water after a break due to water wobbles (which Jo dealt with amazingly).
Jo and her team’s approach is gentle and holistic, new skills are introduced gradually and repeated and added to throughout the term so that the little ones always feel comfortable and progress at an unhurried and steady pace.
Jo has always been very sensitive and intuitive with each and every child I have seen her teach, never pushing, just supportive encouragement with great results. Lessons are a great mix of safety, techniques for enabling young children to swim without water aids and fun, lots of singing, toys and splashing about.
We started out with Leelah at Soundwell in 2012 for 9 months and then moved to The Otium for 6 months. Marlene currently attends the Henbury group at Penny Porter and Leelah will start the toddler group there in January, too.
Many thanks to Sharmila Cogger for providing this review.
