If you should ever feel in need of some luxury pampering, The Nail Shed in Bishopston offers a range of beauty treatments.

Offering luxury manicures and pedicures, facials, massage, tinting and many more beauty treatments, The Nail Shed is open Tuesday to Saturday every week and is located at 78 Gloucester Road, BS7 8BN.

What’s more, if you have young children and so find it hard to access such pampering, The Nail Shed offers ‘Mummy and Baby Days’ on the first Tuesday of every month where mums can come in and enjoy a treatment of their choice while cuddles and play are provided for babies by The Nail Shed staff!

The Nail Shed opened in Spring last year and is owned by Davinia Harper (pictured below, right) who was born and brought up in Bristol. She has ensured that the salon is beautifully designed from top to toe, complete with luxurious furnishings, plus only the very best products are used.

I popped in last week for my first ever Luxury Pedicure and very much enjoyed the experience. From the very start I was made to feel relaxed and after being warmly greeted and offered refreshments, I sank into one of the comfy Chesterfield pedicure armchairs offered and put my feet up, ready to enjoy some pampering.

My pedicure began with a foot buffing treatment so that my feet were nice and smooth. Following this, my feet were soaked in a Champagne milk bath pedicure bowl which felt absolutely wonderful. Then my feet were given a lovely foot scrub and coated in a peppermint foot lotion.

My feet were then wrapped up and put in special heated pedicure boots! I was left to sit back and relax for a while to enjoy the sensation of the warmth from the heated pedicure boots on my feet, while sipping my cup of coffee and nibbling my shortbread, deciding on the colour nail varnish for my nails and leafing through glossy magazines at my leisure.

But this was not the end of the pampering! Following this, my feet were treated to a wonderful foot massage with cranberry scented massage oil and were then given a thorough pedicure and my toenails were painted to perfection with the colour of my choice.

My Luxury Pedicure at The Nail Shed was indeed luxurious from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being pampered is not something I have the chance to do often and it was a real treat! I was really pleased with the finished look as well.
