On Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December there will be a Christmas Celebration on Gloucester Road. The event will take place from 10am – 4pm on both days and there will be lots of fun on offer for families.
There are some great activities planned especially for children including Santa’s Grotto (which children can visit from 10am – 4pm at The Parlour which is on Gloucester Road/Zetland Road junction), plus face painting and children’s craft workshops, too.
There will also be a chance to enjoy the brilliant ‘Mr Gottalot’s Shop’ by Monkey Trousers Theatre which is taking place in the morning on both days!
There will also be street performers, a live band, a big choir playing at two locations on Gloucester Road, a circus act on the Sunday and an ‘Elfish Presley’ duo act on the Saturday too!
Bamba Beads and FloJos will also be running workshops where you can enjoy some crafty activities.
And, of course, the Christmas Celebration will also provide a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping. There will be market stalls outside Tesco Express and on the Promenade, lots of Christmas gifts at Reason and Cox & Baloney will be having a Christmas Vintage garage sale.
And there will be lots of mulled cider and mince pies to enjoy!
But don’t worry if you can’t make the Christmas Celebration this weekend – Santa’s Grotto and some market stalls will continue on 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th December.
