This year Fairfield High School has received a record number of applications for school places making it one of the most oversubscribed schools in Bristol.

The school had a record 446 applications for school places for 2017 which means the secondary school is oversubscribed for a third successive year.

The number of families putting Fairfield High School as their top school rocketed to 169, with 131 naming it as their second preference and 146 as their third. All 216 places have been offered to prospective students.

Fairfield is a mixed-gender academy for 11-16 year olds situated on Allfoxton Road, Horfield, Bristol. It serves a diverse inner-city community and is rated by Ofsted as ‘Good with Outstanding features’.

The school is part of the Excalibur Academies Trust, which provides a strong support network.
