Official Opening Date Given For New Bishopston Library

I am really pleased to share the news that the new Bishopston Library has been given an official opening date of Wednesday 3rd May.

The library, situated at 100a Gloucester Road, is built on two floors and includes a children’s library, public computers, an area for visitors to sit and work, a meeting room, public toilets and children’s changing facility.

The old Cheltenham Road Library closed on 27th February and all its books have now been moved to the new Bishopston Library.

Opening hours for the new library are as follows:

  • Monday: 1 – 7pm
  • Tuesday: closed
  • Wednesday: 11am – 5pm
  • Thursday: 11am – 5pm
  • Friday: 11am – 5pm
  • Saturday: 11am – 5pm
  • Sunday: closed

There will also be free term-time Baby bounce and Rhyme sessions on Wednesdays, 11.30am – 12 noon and free Storytime sessions on Saturdays, 11.30am – 12 noon.

Breastfeeding is also welcome.

The new library opens at 11am on Wednesday 3rd May. See you there!
