Fairfield High School (FHS) is very proud of its cast of Oliver, whose brilliant performances to packed audiences did itself proud, whilst raising £500 for Save Syria’s Children at the same time.
Cleverly laid out in a circular style theatre, the actors were without doubt professional, engaging and interactive throughout their performances.
Based on the original story of ‘Oliver Twist’ with recognisable scenes and story lines, this production had its own ‘twist’ with the orphanage being set in a refugee camp.
Apart from Oliver, other favourite characters to steal the show included The Artful Dodger, Mrs Mann, Fagin, Mr Brownlow and Nancy; all delivered with flair and passion.
Adele Proctor, Head of Performing Arts comments:
“I am so proud of my cast of Oliver. The team worked very hard to get into their roles and without exception put 100% into their performances. I would also like to thank all those who collectively raised £500 for Save Syria’s Children, a charity close to my own heart.”
Fairfield High School is a mixed-gender academy in Horfield, Bristol which was judged to be ‘Good with Outstanding features’ at its most recent Ofsted Inspection.
