Local dads of young children will be very pleased to hear that a great new dads-only toddler group has been set up just for them!

Emmanuel Blokes Toddlers has been set up and is run by dads from Emmanuel Bristol Church and meets once a month on Saturdays at 10-11.15am at Northcote Scout Hut in Westbury-on-Trym.

The group welcomes all children up to school age accompanied by their dad or stepdad – with grandads very welcome too!

The group is relaxed and friendly with free play for most of the session and a short story time to bring things to a close at the end. There is a wide range of toys including ride-ons, play kitchen, fancy dress, car garages, puzzles and a baby area, too.

And, as the children play, there’s hot drinks, bacon butties and newspapers for dads to enjoy!

As well as regular toddler group sessions, organisers of the group will also hold events for dads to meet up away from the children, and a curry evening and velodrome trip are two that are currently in the diary.

The next sessions of Emmanuel Blokes’ Toddlers are planned for 21st April, 19th May and 16th June with an entry fee of £3 per family to help with running costs. You can find Northcote Scout Hut at Great Brockeridge, Westbury-on-Trym, BS9 3TY.
