SENDaWelcome is having a Summer Social this Sunday, 24th June at St Michael’s Church, 160a Gloucester Road, Bishopston.
The event is for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), their families and friends and will take place from 2-4pm.
There will be some great activities for fun and play, including Nelly the Dog, face painting, the Sensory Truck (book sessions for the sensory truck here), the Children’s Scrapstore, Circomedia and cake decorating with Baby Bites.
There will also be tea, coffee and cake – please bring a cake to share!
Organisers are especially keen to see teenagers come to the event, as they have Tara and Tony from Bristol band, the Rin Tins coming along who are working on a project with them for children with SEND aged 11 years and over to develop a community band.
This is one of two teen projects organisers are fundraising for at the event, as they recognise the gap in provision locally for this age group.
SENDaWelcome is a small group of local volunteers working in BS7 to make our community a more inclusive place for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to live, play and access opportunities.

Please pass on to families that may benefit from this community event!
