On Saturday 21st July there will be a ‘Ragtime & Rumba’ Children’s Music Workshop presented by Bristol Symphony Orchestra.
The non-profit children’s event will include a lively and interactive programme of dances, rags, jigs and stomps presented by both string and wind musicians. Children will be encouraged to join in by clapping, dancing, conducting and even playing along!
Bristol Plays Music is supporting the event by providing mini wind instruments as well as small violins and cellos for children to play and join in.
The event runs from 2.30-3.30pm at Trinity Church on Waterford Road, Henleaze. The workshop will last for 45 minutes with 15 minutes afterwards giving children an opportunity to try out other orchestral instruments.
The event is aimed at children aged 3-8 years but siblings are welcome and pre-walkers are free.
There are limited tickets so pre-booking is necessary. Entry is £3.50 per child, £5.50 per adult, a family of four is £15 and pre-walkers go free.
