Bishopston Beanstalks: A Parent’s Review

Today’s post on Bishopston Mum is a local mum’s review of Bishopston Beanstalks, a pre-school located at Bishopston Methodist Church, 245 Gloucester Road. Bishopston Beanstalks has a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday during term-time.

I hope you find it helpful.

Bishopston Beanstalks is a lovely preschool, it is a really friendly place for both the children and parents/carers.

Because there is a maximum of 24 children per session, everyone gets to know each other and the Beanstalks staff really well.

The whole Beanstalks team make sure they know each child’s likes and dislikes and they tailor learning through play to their individual needs.

They listen to the children and encourage them to develop and grow in confidence. They do a fantastic job of preparing the children for the school environment in the run up to starting in Reception.

They do lots of brilliant activities like yoga and cooking and having visitors, who do things like bring giant bugs for the kids to look at, or fun themed science sessions.

Beanstalks also make a huge effort to take the children out and about to the park, the allotment and the gym next door, as well as sometimes popping out to buy fruit and veg for the snack cafe.

One of my daughter’s favourite outings was visiting the theatre with Beanstalks, she absolutely loved it!

Both of my children attended Beanstalks and they couldn’t have been happier there, my eldest daughter still asks if she can go back!

We will miss it hugely when it’s time for my youngest to leave. I don’t think any of us could have asked for a nicer or friendlier preschool!
