Members of Horfield Methodist Church have come together to spread a bit of cheer to people in the local community who are isolated or self-isolating during lockdown.
Around a hundred ‘teabag’ cards have been created which can be posted to members of the local community who would appreciate receiving them, brightening their day and reminding them that they are not alone.
Helen Wallbridge, one of the organisers of this project, explains:
“We were concerned about the lack of contact that some people have had – and will be having over the coming weeks and months – so thought this might go a little way to help address this problem.”
At the same time, the teabag cards will hopefully raise much-needed funds for the church, which, like many churches and businesses, has been hit financially by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
All cards come complete with a teabag and come in a range of beautiful designs which can be grouped into four main categories: spots and stripes; small floral; modern floral; and classic floral
The cost for four cards is £3, local delivery only (or you can add 90p for p&p). There are also key rings for sale for £3.
If you would like to buy some of the teabag cards, please email Helen at treasurer@horfieldmethodist.org.uk.
