On Saturday we attended Golden Hill Community Garden Spring Fayre. It was the garden’s ‘grand opening’ to the public and there were lots of things to see and do for children. Here is a picture of my little boy taking part in a seed growing workshop…
He planted Calendula seeds which he really enjoyed. The pot is now in our kitchen window waiting for some sun!
Here is a picture of him about to eat his melon in a cone which he had just scooped…
Among other things, there was a choir, cakes, face painting and ‘Pip, the Human Juke Box’!
The Community Garden is open to the public on Wednesdays between 10.00 – 16.00 and some Saturdays. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the garden, young and old alike 🙂
