Introducing Bishopston Beanstalks Pre-School!

On Monday 4th November a new pre-school in Bishopston will be launched when Pied Piper Pre-School becomes “Bishopston Beanstalks Pre-School”.

As a newly established Workers’ Co-Operative, Bishopston Beanstalks Pre-School will be managed by employees and by parent volunteers themselves, rather than by Bishopston Methodist Church as it has been since 1970.

Bishopston Beanstalks will be held in the large, airy church hall of Bishopston Methodist Church – situated on Gloucester Road – and has a small garden for children to enjoy, too. The pre-school will make regular trips to Bishopston School of Gymnastics as well as frequent strolls to St Andrew’s Park.

Bishopston Beanstalks Pre-School will run four mornings a week during term time from 9.15 am to 1pm. The pre-school will have a maximum of 24 children per session with four highly qualified practitioners and one support worker to assist them. A typical morning will involve carpet time for all children, small group sessions, lots of free play, a snack cafe, physical play, songs and stories.

Bishopston Beanstalks can take children from the term in which they turn three until they are school age. If you are interested in the possibility of your child attending Bishopston Beanstalks Pre-School, parents are very welcome to visit and have a chat with Sarah, the lead practitioner.
