Since The Golden Buds green toddler group launched last year, it has proved to be a huge success with parents and children in and around Bishopston.

The Golden Buds meets every Tuesday morning at the Golden Hill Community Garden and is aimed at children aged 18 months to 4 years.

It gives young children the fabulous opportunity to dig in the Digging Bed (especially created for this purpose), play outdoors, find newts and frogs in the pond, sing and even get crafty – all in the heart of urban Bristol!

The group has been so successful that an afternoon session is now being introduced as well!

Sessions run on Tuesday at 10 – 11:30am and 1:30 – 3pm in term time and booking is taken on a term by term basis. Each session costs £5 per child, with £2 for second siblings and there is no charge for babies under 12 months.

Squash and biscuits are provided, as well as a snack from the garden as the seasons turn, plus a hot drink for parents.
