Want something? Need anything? Well, you’re in luck – Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop is opening once more!

Following sell-out shows over the Easter weekend, Bristol’s Monkey Trousers Theatre – founded by local parents, Fran Lewis and Charlotte Whitten – has announced that on Sunday 24th May, Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop: The Pants of Power will be performed again at the Kelvin Players Studio, Gloucester Road.

Step inside the magical Gotalot Shop where you can buy anything and everything you could ever think of. Meet the shopkeeper Mr Gotalot and his ever-eager shop boy Sidney, as they strive to find a superhero some brand new pants of power.

Will they be able to provide Super Alan with what he needs, before the conniving landlady Mrs Barnet arrives to collect her rent?

Performances on Sunday 24th May are at 10.30am, 1.30pm and 4.30pm at the Kelvin Players Studio, 253b Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8NY. Doors open 30 minutes before show time.

Tickets are £7 each for aged 3 and above (babies on laps are free) or £25 for a family of four. Tickets are available through the Tobacco Factory Theatre box office www.tobaccofactorytheatres.com or by telephoning 0117 902 0344.

The show lasts around 45 minutes with no interval and so is entirely suited for children aged three to nine years old. There are plenty of jokes, cheese, pants, songs, dancing, pants, kittens and more pants!

To meet Mr. Gotalot before then, the company is bringing Mr. Gotalot’s ‘Fancy Dress Photo Booth’ to the Gloucester Road Mayfest on Saturday 2nd May.

Mayfest is a free community festival, to celebrate the coming of summer and to welcome the traditional Jack in the Green procession which travels up the Gloucester Road and arrives on the central section at 3.30pm.

Throughout the day there will be creative workshops including needlefelting and May crown making, and Mr. Gotalot will be appearing outside the shops near Room 212 from 11am-12pm and again from 2.30pm-3.30pm. The first part of Bishop Road will be closed to traffic. Come along for your children to join in the fun and capture the moment.

And finally, watch out for Monkey Trousers Theatre’s NEW show, Mr Gotalot’s Gotalot Shop: The Snot Rocket – which is landing in Bishopston at the end of June.
