Back to Hockey sessions with Bristol Ladies Hockey Club: New players wanted!

bth 1

Did you once enjoy a good game of hockey but haven’t played in years? Or, have you always fancied playing hockey but are a complete beginner to the sport?

If you answered yes to either of the above questions, then you might be interested in “Back to Hockey” sessions being run by Bristol Ladies Hockey Club!

Back to Hockey sessions are fun, friendly and informal and are part of England Hockey’s Back to Hockey Campaign which aims to get people playing and enjoying hockey again after a number of years, or, who are complete beginners.

Bristol Ladies Hockey Back to Hockey sessions will be held on Mondays from 8 – 9pm at Orchard School’s all-weather pitch in Horfield BS7 0XZ.

In the Back to Hockey sessions, mums can expect a little bit of fitness, skills and drills aimed at both beginners and those returning to the sport, a quick game, plus a lot of good chats and laughter and some time to yourself doing something fun!

And, if you are at all nervous about joining up, Kate Lover, local mum and member of Bristol Ladies’ Hockey is quick to reassure:

“Bristol Ladies Hockey is a very relaxed, friendly fun club. Most of our players hadn’t played for years before starting so newcomers needn’t worry!”

If you like the sound of getting involved with Bristol Ladies Hockey Club but can’t make the Back to Hockey Monday sessions, there is also an informal Summer league throughout the Summer so you can get involved in this way.
