An exciting new children’s outdoor after-school club is set to launch in Bishopston. ‘The Golden Club’ will be held at The Golden Hill Community Garden on Monk Road, BS7 8NE, every Tuesday from 3.30 – 5.45pm in term-time and will be for children in years 1 – 6.

The Golden Club will be a joyous mix of outdoor fun with activities including den building, nature exploring, growing veggies, making, crafting, fire starting, and generally having lots of screen-free, outdoors fun in the great space that the Golden Hill Community Garden offers.

And rain won’t stop the fun either as there is a cosy straw bale eco-house in the garden just in case!

The Golden Club team – who are all DBS checked – will pick up children who attend Bishop Road Primary School while children from other schools can be dropped off by their parents. Each session will be £8.75.

If you are interested in signing up your child to The Golden Club, there will be free tasters on 12th (today), 19th and 26th April from 3.30 – 5.45pm. From then The Golden Club will be taking bookings by the term.

To sign your kids up at one of the free taster days, please email Lucy Mitchell, the GHCG Community Project Worker, on ghcgarden@gmail.com.
