This Saturday there’s not one but several great events planned in and near Bishopston, all of which will be thoroughly family-friendly.

Harvest Fair at the Golden Hill Community Garden
The Golden Hill Community Garden’s annual Harvest fair is an annual event for the local community.
The fair will be from 1 – 4pm and there is a lot of fun planned for both children and grown-ups.
There will be storytelling, Splat the Rat, apple bobbing, making vegetable creatures, Pip’s Jukebox, face painting, fresh pizza made in the garden’s Frog oven and delicious cakes on offer!
Entry is £1 per adults and kids go free. You can find the community garden at the end of Monk Road, behind Horfield Prison.
Montpelier Bean Feast: Montpelier Park
There’s lots of fun planned for children and families for the annual Montpelier Bean Feast, including lots of free creative workshops for all ages.
Activities include making a mosaic mural for the park, scrap sculptures and pompom headresses!
There will also be live music, clothes freecycle, veggie swap, crafts for sale and more.
The event runs from 1 – 6pm and you can join in the fun in Montpelier Park which is off St Andrew’s Road, BS6 5EF.
BCR Community Fair: St Michael’s Church, Bishopston
All are welcome to the Bishopston, Cotham and Redland Neighbourhood Partnership’s community fair which takes place from 12.30 – 4.30pm.
There will be stalls, events, food and drink on offer, and Litter Arti will be there with some fun and games for children, helping to educate them about rubbish and recycling.
The Neighbourhood Partnership’s Working Groups will also be there if you would like to add your suggestions on how to improve sustainable transport and improve local streets and green spaces.

Party in the Park: Golden Hill Sports Ground
This event offers a whole afternoon and evening of fun activities for children and families from 1 – 10pm!
The activities include live music, climbing wall, face painting, Merry Go Round, bungee trampolines, Go Karts, marching band, a Stilt Walker and much more!
Admission is £2.50 per adult and £1 per child.
