There will soon be a brand new children’s play park in Ashley Down, and, with the building underway, it should be ready to use by the middle of October!
Situated off Dirac Road, the play park will be approximately 800 square metres and is being designed to have an open look and feel and to blend in to the surrounding area.
It will be a great addition to the new housing development in Ashley Down and will be welcomed by local children.
I went to see the play park taking shape and take some photos for you to have a sneak peek!
I think it is going to look great! The play area is being built in a nice spot and is surrounded by green space which children will also be able to use once the play area is completed.
Much of the play equipment will be made of natural materials and will include a timber tower, balance beams and stepping-stones.
The equipment will be of different heights and will be suitable for all ages and abilities of children up to age 13.
I will keep you updated as to when it officially opens!
