Now that Christmas is over you may well be having a good old clear out and if so, local mum Kate Milanes would like to put particular items you may have spare to good use.
Kate is collecting items for ‘Caring at Christmas’, an annual project run by the charity, Caring in Bristol which provides warm, safe accommodation, food and social activities to homeless people in Bristol.
Kate has become aware that the charity is running particularly low on men’s coats, jumpers, sleeping bags and back packs. She explains: “It’s cold out there and folk are coming in soaking wet every night.”
Kate lives on Cornwall Road, Bishopston and is using her house as a collection point for these items. If you would like to drop off any items to her house she will then take them to the Caring in Bristol drop-off point in St Pauls, Bristol.
If you would like to do this please contact Kate on 07855940907.
