If you have a 0-5 year old who has a birthday party coming up and you are looking to hire a local child-friendly venue, Playful Café in Bishopston is a lovely choice.

Playful Café is a relaxed and friendly family-run play café which is open daily from Monday to Saturday every week for parents/carers to drop into with their little ones.

It is also available to hire for children’s parties (and other private events) on Saturdays 3-5pm and Sundays 11am-1pm and 3-5 pm.

Playful Café has a wide range of toys and play equipment for children to enjoy, including:

• A ‘Disco Area’ with lights, music and bubble machine.
• An indoor Multi-story Castle and Pirate Ship Play Structures which children can climb up, slide down and hide in!
• Toys, toys and more toys! All children at any time, are welcome to take advantage of the cafe’s large array of toys, such as pretend shops, the fantastic train table, play houses, DUPLO LEGO table, and kitchens and huge range of dressing-up costumes. Younger siblings are looked after also with lots of baby toys in the sofa areas.

What’s more, wonderful, generous Birthday Teas are also provided at children’s parties at Playful which include a delicious spread of food including mini sandwich selections, homemade dips, cucumber and carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, mini sausages, bread sticks, cheese puffs, cheese cubes, grapes and raisins.

This feast is then followed by delicious home-made mini cakes and biscuits!

Adult visitors at children’s parties at Playful Café are also well-cared for with a  coffee bar and barista, too!

Playful Café can also provide party entertainment at children’s parties if wished such as Musical Bumps, Pass the Treasure Box and/or the bubble machine, for example.

It is £165 to hire Playful Café for up to a maximum 20 children. This price includes the exclusive hire, barista, all the children’s food and drinks, use of the climbing structures/play equipment and cleaning services following the party.

On booking you will be required to pay a non-refundable £50 deposit.
