Bishopston Library’s 1st Birthday Celebrations: Thursday 3rd May

On 3rd May last year Bishopston Library opened its doors for the first time to the local community and since then it has proved to be a  valued community resource which is used by many people of all ages.

To mark this special 1st birthday, the Friends of Bishopston Library are holding a 1st Birthday party on Thursday 3rd May and all are invited!

There will be tea and cake from 11am – 12.30pm or 2.15 – 3.30pm and there will also be a small exhibition about the work of the library and FOBL one year on.

There will also be activities especially for children such as colouring and sticking to make banners to hang in the children’s section, plus singing and storytime.

The plan for the day is, unless it is pouring with rain, to gather outside the library about 5 minutes before opening, to sing and cut a cake.

If you can make some (nut free) cakes to bring along on the day, please email friends@bishopstonlibrary.org.uk.
