On Saturday 5th May it will be the Glos Rd Central Mayfest, the annual community event on the central part of Gloucester Road, Bishopston.

Organised by local traders, the event runs from 10am – 4pm and there will be fun galore for children and families!

What’s more, Jack in the Green will be making his annual appearance too!

There will be delicious food and drink from local businesses, tasters and charity and market stalls, and for children there will be face painting, creative activities, plus gingerbread and cup cake decorating outside Joe’s Bakery.

Jack in the Green will be passing through Gloucester Road with his band of merry singers and musicians on his way to Horfield Common where he will meet his sad end, signifying the end of Winter.

Glos Rd Central Mayfest and Jack in the Green will be a great way to start the Summer!
