The nights may be dark and the temperature icy, however we can soon look forward to Bishopston Window Wanderland lighting up our streets!

Window Wanderland transforms ordinary streets into magical, outdoor galleries using windows of homes and businesses to do so. Then people wrap up warm, venture outside and follow a trail of beautifully lit windows and enjoy the creativity!

This year the Bishopston Window Wanderland will run from Saturday 9th February until Monday 11th February from 5.30 – 9pm. It is a free community event for all ages.

If you would like to create a window display of your own, you can create a display of your choosing as long as it is family-friendly. It can be as simple or as complicated as you wish.

If you would like a suggestion for a theme though, you can explore ‘What is Britishness?’ Whether it’s the freedom for cultural crossovers you love, or the fact that Britain is the home of Ribena or the birthplace of Harry Potter …

Maybe you would you like to say something about living on this small island? Or you could explore your own roots? From ‘All you need is love’ to a ‘full english breakfast’ there are many ways to say it.

However, these are simply suggestions so be as creative as you wish!
