Local volunteers are currently needed to support and befriend refugees and asylum seekers in Bristol.
Bristol Aid Box Community has set up an AidBoxConnections project, helping to alleviate isolation for Bristol’s most isolated refugees and asylum seekers by connecting them with volunteers for friendship and practical support.
Organisers are particularly interested in hearing from individuals from diverse backgrounds and with additional languages.
If you would like to volunteer, you will be connected with a refugee or asylum seeker with similar interests to you.
Organisers will supervise and support you, enabling you to provide practical guidance by signposting as needed to local services and build a connection and lasting friendship.
Bristol Aid Box Community is based on Cheltenhan Road (near Colston’s Girls’ School).
