The Friends of Horfield Library are calling on knitters, crocheters and crafters, both young and old, to transform the unsightly fence surrounding the library.
The group is asking local people to each create and donate a small piece of knitting, crafting or crocheting.
Bright and colourful pieces are needed, and anything with a garden theme would be especially welcomed, for example, bees, flowers, butterflies and trees.
Creators of all ages are needed with children especially welcome; pieces need not be complicated! The main aim of the project is to bring some light and colour to the old fence while getting the community involved!
The transforming of the fence will be part of the first phase of the new library garden, with more colour and cheer coming up throughout the year!
If you would like to contribute a piece of knitting, crocheting or crafting for the library fence, please email suefw57@gmail.com or friendsofhorfieldlibrary@gmail.com.
Horfield Library is located on Filton Avenue, Horfield, BS7 0BD.
