Despite lockdown, lots of great events and activities are still taking place this year, albeit in a different form.
One such great event is Bristol Museum & Art Gallery’s annual Chinese New Year celebrations, with the museum this year planning to deliver an interactive online Lunar New Year Festival as people aren’t able to visit in person.
The festival will take place from 16th-23rd February and Bristol Museum is working in collaboration with many community partners and friends to bring some fun, cheer and culture to children and adults in Bristol. Expect music, dance, talks, craft activities, storytelling, meditation, Chi Kung and much more!
The Chinese New Year starts on 12th February and this year is the year of the Ox. According to the Chinese zodiac people born in the year of the Ox are honest, trustworthy, diligent, dependable, strong and determined.
The Lunar New Year is also known as the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival.
