What are your thoughts on the possibility of a small food garden being created in St Andrews Park, BS6?
A local group of people would like to create one and are running a consultation about this in August and September.
The garden would be situated in the dog-free area of the park, next to the playground, beside the metal fence. It would consist mainly of small fruit trees and shrubs, with some raised beds of various sizes for edible plants and herbs.
The aim is for children and adults to learn how to grow food with permaculture ethics and principles, to promote biodiversity in the park, to have special Harvest and planting days, plus provide a space for people to connect with others.
The group will be in the park on Tuesday 24th August and Saturday 11th September to answer questions.
The group asks you to share your thoughts and comments to the pinned post at the top of the Bishopston Mum Facebook page.
