Horfield Welly Pre-School was recently lucky enough to receive a generous donation from Filton Pre-School after they sadly closed their doors last year. The donation was given to support Early Years education in the local area and the pre-school staff and trustees were grateful and honoured to receive this generous contribution.
The trustees and staff decided to use the money to invest in some new resources and who better to decide what this investment would be but the children! The Big and Little Wellies were given the opportunity to vote on which resources they wished to purchase. There were three objects to choose from: some new climbing equipment, a water wall for the garden and a dark den and light resources.
The majority of the children voted for the dark den and resources. These have recently arrived at the pre-school and as you can see from the pictures, the children have really enjoyed exploring them. Through using these resources, the Welly children have been developing their exploration, sharing and turn-taking skills.
Horfield Welly shares its grateful thanks to Filton Pre-school for providing them with the funding to be able to offer the children these real life exciting opportunities.
