A huge congratulations to Katy Tyrrell, a Science Teacher at Fairfield High School, who has been chosen to feature in the Department for Education’s latest national campaign promoting teaching as a career.

After a competitive audition process, Katy was selected as one of just 11 teachers from across the country to take part. The campaign has now launched, with posters featuring Katy appearing nationwide, including on the London Underground, alongside adverts on Instagram and YouTube.

Katy said the experience was “really fun” and hopes to be involved in future campaigns.

Fairfield High School Principal Edel Cronin described Katy’s selection as a fantastic achievement and said the school is delighted to see her representing both Fairfield and the wider teaching profession on a national stage.
