Have you ever considered teaching as a career?
If so you might be interested to hear that Fairfield High School is currently offering members of the local community the chance to do a one-year PGCE at the school from September 2017.
The opportunity is being organised through the Excalibur Teaching School Alliance in collaboration with Bristol University and Bath Spa University.
There are two events being organised at Fairfield High School to help you decide whether teaching is for you:
Information Event – Wednesday 23rd November
This event enables prospective applicants to come and have a general talk about their suitability for the PGCE course and to give them advice on how to apply. Even if you aren’t in a position to apply this year, you can receive advice about what you need to do to pursue a teaching career in the future.
- Time: 10am – 2.30pm
- Venue: Fairfield High School
School Experience Day – Wednesday 7th December
This event will provide applicants with the opportunity to visit a school for a day to experience life in the classroom and to observe experienced teachers in lessons. It is expected that successful students accepted onto the course will have up to 10 days school experience prior to starting.
If you would like more about the teacher training opportunity or would like to book a place on one or both of the above events please email admintsa@stjohns.wilts.sch.uk or phone 01672 519 555.
