On Thursday 7th December from 5-8pm it will be the Glos Rd Central Christmas Street Party, a festive event for all the family.
Shops and businesses on the central part of Gloucester Road (from the top of Pigsty Hill) will be bringing festive cheer to our community, staying open late into the evening, offering food and drink and enabling shoppers a leisurely browse and a chance to shop local!
There will be lots of festive activities for families including the pop-up Pick Your Own Panto, paper decorating, making Christmas snowflakes and Christmas wreath making!
There’ll be live music outside Room 212 from local band Cajun Eyez from 5pm, followed by Christmas tunes on the keyboard from 5.45 and festive singing from Bishop Road and Glos Vox community choirs at 7pm and 7.30pm.
And while you enjoy the festivities there will be mulled wine and cider on offer, plus delicious food from local traders including Italian sausages and burgers at various points along the road.
The wonderful Joe’s Bakery will also be offering tasters of all their Christmas goodies – read more about these festive treats here!
Aid Box Community will be at the event spreading the word about their Refutree campaign and raising awareness for everything they do to support European Refugees. Avon Wildlife Trust will be at the event also.
The Golden Lion Pub will have live music once the Glos Rd Central Christmas Street Party ends so you can continue to have fun late into the evening.
This event will also give you the chance to exchange your cash to Bristol Pounds.
The Glos Rd Central Christmas Street Party is a great way to get into the festive mood with your family, friends and neighbours so do come along with your kids!
