On Saturday 9th December the Golden Hill Community Garden will be holding a Christmas Wreath Making Workshop.
At the workshop both children and adults can drop-in to learn to make a natural Christmas wreath made from foliage from the local allotments, plus take their wreath home to display!
The workshop is between 10am – 4pm and is £10 to take part. No pre-booking is required, simply drop-by on the day any time before 3pm.
It’s a fun, friendly and informal session and materials for the wreath will be provided, as will secateurs and gloves (but do bring your own if you have some). You will also be given plenty of advice and encouragement on how to make your wreath.
You will weave a willow ring, decorate it and make something lovely. Children are very welcome and hot drinks and mince pies will be available.
And, if the weather is cold or wet on the day don’t worry, there is indoor space at the garden to keep warm in!
You can find the Golden Hill Community Garden through the gates at the end of Monk Road, behind Bishop Road School and Horfield Prison. The post code is BS7 8NE.
If you are unable to make the Christmas Wreath Workshop but would like to learn how to make a wreath anyway, here are some simple instructions.
Do keep an eye on the Bishopston Mum Facebook Page for lots more family-friendly Christmassy events taking place in and near Bishopston over the next few weeks!
