Three local friends are coming together this Friday to host a special Afternoon Tea for Breast Cancer Now, raising money for a charity that has become particularly close to their hearts over the past year.

Bekah, Meryl and Katherine will be hosting the afternoon tea in the Garden Room at The Ardagh on Horfield Common on Friday 28th August, from 2pm until 4pm.

Breast cancer has touched all three women’s lives in the last 12 months. Both Bekah and Meryl have undergone surgery and treatment and, thankfully, are now out the other side. Throughout their treatment, their friend Katherine has supported them every step of the way. Katherine has also sadly lost a dear friend to breast cancer, making the event especially poignant for all three of them.

The friends feel incredibly grateful for the wonderful treatment and care they have received from the NHS. Alongside this, Breast Cancer Now has been an invaluable source of information, advice and support, helping them navigate what has been a hugely life-changing year.

Now they want to give something back and help raise money so that this support can continue to be available to everyone affected by breast cancer.

Come along for afternoon tea

Ar the afternoon tea event, there will be plenty of light bites, homemade-style cakes and, of course, lots of scones, with tea and coffee available to buy from the café.

It’s a lovely opportunity to enjoy an afternoon with friends while supporting a cause that means so much to the women organising it.
